The Harvest Table Food Pantry distributes food bags to families in need across the Rio Grande Valley.
Loaves and Fishes is part of the Feeding America Nationwide Network which distributes 4.3 billion meals each year. Locally, we work closely with The Food Bank of the RGV, Inc. and its sponsors.
The Harvest Table Food Pantry distributes food bags on Wednesdays and Thursdays out of their Harlingen facility. Food bags include non-perishable canned food items such as vegetables, fruits, and tuna. Food bags also include other items such as cereals, pasta, and beans.
Proper identification and documentation are required for registration. All applicants can receive a food bag once a month. Applicants are required to renew yearly.
Loaves and Fishes is a part of many food drives in the community. We appreciate the food donations received from all of the businesses, schools and church groups throughout the year. All canned food items are sorted and quickly distributed to needy families in our area.
During times of emergency assistance, we work closely with our community leaders and organizations to assist those families in devastated areas.
We distribute approximately 150 food bags a month to families experiencing food insecurity.
